Today we take a look at the account of the rich young ruler who came to Jesus asking “what must I do to inherit eternal life.” Jesus then debunks the popular belief that if you obeyed the law and were wealthy, you were blessed by God.
This is not a story about money as many assume. It is about salvation. It is about God’s claim on our lives. First of all Jesus tells us that there is no one good but God Himself. In other words, we can not earn our salvation. We are all sinners saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus says “How difficult it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom. “. The disciples ask who then can be saved. Jesus answers “With man this is not possible but all things are possible with God.” Join is as we encounter Jesus’ call to follow Him!
